Say Love
Okay, let’s get you up to date…
We have decided to call the new CD “Say Love.”
Whatdaya think?
Coming up with the title of the last CD, Every Step, was a struggle. I had almost all the songs written, we were about to record and we needed the title. None of the songs I had written seemed to lend themselves to a good title track (that’s when a CD is named after a song) so we chose a lyric from one of the songs to be the title. (“Every step” comes from the song “That’s Who I Am.”)
Bob Ahlander – head honcho in the Deseret Book Music Department and all-around-awesome-guy, requested that I turn in a title proposal by mid-January. For the month of December I thought and thought and then thought some more.
One night, while driving to the airport to pick up my husband, the title seemed clear.
“Say Love”
Say Love is indeed a new song I’ve recently written. I really kind of like it…and I think the message is super important. What we say to others – and ourselves – must be kind and uplifting. A couple days ago I read an amazing article by Elder Holland and he said,
”Words are sacred, and must be spoken with care, and by constraint of the Spirit.”
“For in many things we offend all. But if any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and also able to bridle the whole body.”
“Speak hopefully. Speak encouragingly, including about yourself.”

Great title! I was recently diagnosed with MS and your Every Step CD continues to brighten my days and give me hope. Thank you again for your uplifting and inspired music.

I heard your new song, Say Love, at TOFW and it was beautiful, amazing, and WOW!!!! It was exactly what I needed. You inspired our family home evening tonight. We are starting the rice experiment and doing post-it notes. I just wish your song was out! You have no idea how much I need that song in my life. Thank you so much for sharing your spirit with all of us.

I absolutely loved your new song, Say Love, that I just heard at TOFW in Lethbridge. We are doing the rice experiment for FHE tomorrow night and I wish I had your song to play for my family. Can’t wait until it comes out! Thanks for giving so much of yourself to others. I’m sure it has challenges to feel the pull to share your talents and I just you to know that I am grateful!
