Who is our jewelry instructor? Taunya Olsen is the Owner and designer of Honey+Ice Jewelry where she loves to create jewelry that encourages confidence and reminds us of God’s love. Creativity is in the very core of her soul. Taunya’s Mom let her play in her craft room and sew and make clothing and anything she wanted to my heart’s content. Her mother instilled in Taunya a love for the phrase “a thing of beauty is a joy forever.”
Taunya has been making jewelry for 20 years! She started out making it for her daughters by refashioning jewelry from her childhood into pieces for them. Now she designs pieces that are intended as daily reminders of faith, foundation, prayer, etc., while also making it beautiful to wear in your day to day life. Connect with Taunya on Instagram!
What will we be doing in the jewelry workshop? If you’re wanting to learn how to layer your jewelry and learn the basics of making it, this class will be so much fun for you. Taunya will give you all the tips and tricks you need to feel confident while wearing your beautiful treasures.
You will also be making and taking home 2 items:
- A beautiful semi precious stone necklace that fits perfectly to the length you need.
- A hand stamped pewter, gold filled, or sterling silver pendant to either go on this necklace or to be added to another chain you might have at home.
You will learn the basic skills of jewelry design (stringing your necklace and stamping your pendant) while learning about the tools, techniques, and materials needed to create your special piece. All materials and tools will be provided.
